Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer What Wouldn't I Do? Collection for Halloween 2014 (partial review)

Good evening boys and ghouls.  Tomorrow is October 1st and I am very excited about it.  October is my favorite month.  I go out of my way to watch a scary (or silly Halloween) movie every night.  Do you have any traditions for this spooky month?  I also love that all the indie brands come out with totally amazing Halloween collections.  I've seen and shared a few already but I have more for you to peruse as well, including my post tonight featuring Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer What Wouldn't I Do? Collection.  Inspired by the movie Practical Magic - which I love and haven't seen in ages! The 4 piece + 1 LE What Wouldn't I Do? Collection will be available on October 5th at 3:30pm EDT.  So let's cruise on over and check things out!

*edit: check out Ehmkay Nails to see the other 2 in this collection, Blood on the Moon and Belladonna!*

I Wished For You, Too is a purple based polish packed full of gold, blue, pink and holo shimmer.  It is stunning!  I Wished For You, Too had a fabulous formula and applied like a dream.  The color of the polish and mixture of glitter give it a very sparkly, magical look.  And it's perfect for Halloween!  I used 3 coats of I Wished For You, Too and 1 layer of topcoat.

Amas Veritas Spell is a deep green jelly with blue and green metallic glitters.  This is the one of the best jelly polishes I have ever used.  Amas Veritas Spell was total perfection.  The dark emerald green color was squishy and shiny and so easy to work with.  The formula and application were both great.  I used 3 coats of Amas Veritas Spell for full coverage and no topcoat.

Deathwatch Beetle was my favorite of the 3 I had to review.  This is an AMAZING microglitter - full of holo, black, green, purple and orange glitters.  It sparkles like crazy in the sun, yet somehow all the colors shine through.  Julie really outdid herself with this one!  You can use Deathwatch Beetle on it's own or over a base color - I did both ways so you could see how they both look.  First I tried Deathwatch Beetle alone.  I used 3 coats for full coverage and 2 layers of topcoat to keep things smooth and glossy.

Here is Deathwatch Beetle sponged on my tops over Wet N Wild Frank Is Mine, a lime green jelly from last years Wild Shine Fantasy Makers Neon Clairvoyance collection.  I only needed to sponge on 1 layer of Deathwatch Beetle to reach really nice coverage.  I finished this with 1 layer of topcoat.

Barielle Me Couture, Fall 2014

Morning all!  I've been a bit swamped with reviews so I'm going to try and get lots of posts up in the next few days.  Let's start with the Barielle Me Couture Collection - Barielle's gorgeous Fall cremes (and a hidden shimmer).  I've tried a few Barielle sets before and I have to say this collection is completely amazing.  The colors are fantastic, rich and creamy and the formula is completely perfect!  Me Couture is currently available for purchase (I see them individually but not as a set) for $8.00 each bottle.  So let's jump in and look at this pretty collection.

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Taupe Notch is a "creamy dark taupe."  It's the perfect neutral color.  The formula and application were both amazing, creamy and buttery.  I used 3 coats of Taupe Notch for full coverage and no topcoat.

Berry Posh (love the name) is a "creamy deep fuchsia."  I do love this berry color.  It's brighter than most berry shades I see.  Berry Posh had a fantastic formula, very creamy and opaque.  Application was perfect.  I used 2 coats of Berry Posh and no topcoat.

Moda Bleu is a "creamy dark navy/purple."  I love this color too, so lovely for a little pop of color to go with your Fall wardrobe.  Again, another fabulous formula and dreamy application.   I used 2 coats of Moda Bleu and no topcoat.

Soho At Night is a "creamy grape purple."  I found this one a little more sheer that the others but it build up nicely in 3 coats.  Soho At Night is a gorgeous color, another great shade to have a dose of color to go with your blacks and greys that are worn so much during the Fall and Winter.

Boho Chic is a "creamy deep sea green."  Yup I felt like Ariel wearing this mermaid-y shade of sea green.  Much like all the others, Soho Chic had a fabulous formula and application was wonderful.  This was creamy green at it's best!

Vintage Gown is a "creamy rust with a hint of pink."  That pink they refer to is the slightest hint of shimmer.  The shimmer makes Vintage Gown even more gorgeous, it's so subtle and delicate...much like the beading or embroidery on a real vintage gown.  Vintage Gown definitely screams heirloom to me, it's very feminine.  Formula and application were both wonderful.  I used 2 coats of Vintage Gown and no topcoat.

So there you have it!  The Barielle Me Couture collection!  The stand out shades for me were Vintage Gown and Boho Chic.  Although I'll admit, you can't go wrong with any of these shades and if you need some perfect cremes in your collection you might as well just get them all.

Halloween in the Park Duo from Sweet Heart Polish & Polish TBH

Good evening friends!  I have an adorable duo to share with you tonight!  Sweet Heart Polish has been working with other indies to create these Disney themed sets and they are just so fun!  With each one I've worn I am definitely lead to memories of rides, movies and my own personal experiences in Disneyland.  I am especially loving this duo from Sweet Heart Polish and Polish TBH - Halloween in the Park.  Holidays in Disneyland are THE BEST!  Especially Halloween since it's my favorite holiday.  I love the decorations and the festiveness and that a few rides are transformed to be more spooky!  Both of these polishes absolutely make me reminisce about Disneyland AND make me want to go next month to party with Mickey!  The Halloween in the Park duo is available on Sunday 9/28 at 11am PDT.

Let's start with Not So Scary Halloween from Polish TBH.  And that name nails it on the head - Halloween in Disneyland isn't so scary, definitely more cutesy.  Not So Scary Halloween is a black jelly full of purple, green and orange glitters as well as a sprinkling of holo silver Mickey heads.  I loved everything about this polish, it's squishy and shiny and screams Halloween to me!  Formula and application were both fabulous.  I used 3 coats for complete coverage.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat to seal in the glitters and keep the glossy look.

Mickey's Sweet Treat is the contribution from Sweet Heart Polish.  Hello candy corn glitter!  If you've ever been to one of the sweets shops in the park you know that they are delicious and over the top.  Mickey's Sweet Treat totally looks like candy sprinkles on top of a giant rice krispy treat or a huge sundae.  First I have it shown over China Glaze Stop That Train (from the new All Aboard collection).  I love the look of the white, yellow and orange matte glitters over this shimmery rusty red-orange shade.  The glitters came out very easily and spread well without manipulation.  I used 2 coats of Mickey's Sweet Treat and dabbed a few glitters on to cover empty spots.  I finished with 1 layer of topcoat.

I also tried Mickey's Sweet Treat over Nuance Prickly Pear, a deep green creme.  Here you can really see the glitters in this mix...white Mickey heads, yellow stars, white squares, yellow dots, red hexs.  These all blend together in a clear base for a perfect topper.  So while you look at these I shall excuse myself to get some candy corn!
