Glisten & Glow: Pirate's Booty, Fall 2016

Good evening dolls.  Well I still have Summer collections to show you but it's time to start rolling out Fall!  So my blog might be a discombobulated mix of late Summer/early Fall polishes for you at the moment.  I like that both seasons are available to us because I know I'm still enjoying the vibrant shades but I'm also longing for deep, rich hues too!  So today's post is the awesome new Fall collection from Glisten & Glow called Pirate's Booty.  Love the name, love the colors, this collection really speaks to me.  There are 6 holos in the Pirate's Booty collection and it will be available TONIGHT (8/26) at 9pm EST.  Let's delve in and check out the loot!

Starting off with Aye Spy Doubloons, a gold holo with gold holo flakes.  I love me some gold and oooh buddy, this is a gorgeous polish!  It's vintagey, antiquey, just like gold treasure.  Formula was nice, a bit sheer but it built up well in 3 coats.  It applied nice and smooth.  No topcoat used.

Parrots Parlay is a pretty soft red linear holo.  It's reminiscent of the glowing gemstones found in that coveted buried treasure box, or the rich velvety coat the captain wears.  Possibly even the colored feathers on the sidekick parrot.  Formula was nice, again just a touch sheer. But it built up great in 3 coats.  No topcoat needed.

Shimmer Me Timbers is a a teal leaning green holo with purple flakes.  I love the play on words with the name.  I also think this is one of the loveliest, Caribbean sea colored polishes I have!  Formula and applicant were both great.  Opaque and creamy, full coverage in 2 coats.  No topcoat needed.

Salty Dog's Sea Legs is a vibrant blue bordering neon territory holo.  Another awesome shade of blue that seems to be inspired by deeper, darker waters.  In my opinion, when you're talking about the ocean, you can't go wrong with any shade of blue!  Formula and application were wonderful.  I used 2 coats for full coverage.  No topcoat.

Wench's Wardrobe is one of my favorites of the collection.  It's a gorgeous, deep purple holo with some aqua shimmer.  I'm no wench but I want a dress in this color because it's absolutely perfection for the Fall!  Formula and applicant were both outstanding.  2 coats used and no topcoat.

Last but not least is Blackbeard's Booty.  This name made me laugh out loud.  Then when I did a google search for some pirate booty images there's a pirate costume with an actual plastic booty showing out of the back of the pants.  So I laughed harder.  But this polish is no laughing matter.  It's a stunning black holo with gold shimmer and gold flakes.  It's the perfect representation of that buried box of treasure.  Formula and application were superb.  I used 2 coats and no topcoat.
